Today I: Rode in an old pickup truck with my father alongside the corn and soybean fields with a .22 gauge rile and tried to shoot the ground hogs that have been eating our crops. I killed one but several others got away. They won’t be as lucky tomorrow.
I’ve been doing a lot of chopping, burning, and washing since I got up here. It’s nice to work outside again but also exhausting.
I found some wood to build a guitar with. It’s a big block of sugar maple that has been sitting in the barn for a few years drying out. I need to order the rest of the parts. Right now I’m thinking a neck-through Les Paul design, maybe a hybrid – something that looks more like an ES-335. I’ll figure it out.
