A few things: Antilles, The Billy Letters, Byroglyphics

Alright, I’ve got a few things I want to share.

1) Antilles:

Please press play and listen to this entire song.  43 seconds in is when it really gets good.  The background vocals RULE.  I wish more bands wrote intricate music like this.  We were fortunate enough to play with Antilles this summer in Ohio.  They completely blew me away with their musicianship and tightness.  Their lead singer moves around the mic stand like a cobra when he sings – he looks kind of like a whip cracking every time he needs to deliver a patch of vocals.  Very entertaining to watch.

2)  The Billy Letters are a series of letters sent out by pop culture historian Bill Geerheart in the late 90′s to serial killers, politicians, and celebrities.  In his letters Geerheart poses as a confused 10 year old boy named Billy who is seeking life guidance.  Should he drop out of school?  Should he become a politician?

It’s weird that the serial killers try to live vicariously through the responses of little Billy.  The Charles Manson response is especially creepy.

That is HERE.  Via Radar.

3)  This is the work of Russ Mills.  An artist/illustrator out of the UK.  I think he may have gone a bit overboard with the ink splashes but I like it nonetheless.
