1) SWEDES

Swedes were a Lancaster, PA based punk band that played an interesting style of screamo using clean guitars and pop-esque song structures.

“(2007-2007) We were a DIY minded screamo band from Lancaster/West Chester, PA. We formed in early 2007 drawing inspiration from bands such as Ampere, Daitro, Raein, Kidcrash, Saetia and Make Me. We played a handful of shows and one ill-fated tour before burning out ceremoniously. Along the way, we made a lot of great friends and met a lot of amazing people. For a brief time it felt like we were really doing something special. Maybe we were. But for now, it’s time to fade into obscurity.”
All of their songs are up for download on their website. And apparently they’re releasing an official discography on Look Again Media Records sometime this year. I sure hope so.
2) BRAND NEW

I recently acquired Brand New’s The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me and I’m bummed that I slept on it for so long. I heard it was good but wasn’t expecting anything this good. I’d post it but the RIAA will most likely fine me since Brand New is signed to a major record label (interscope). So instead, use Google blog search to find it.
