1) This is just a reminder to be on the look out for this split. It will be officially released on Nov. 4th but you can pre-order the CD/LP split from Temporary Residence’s online store on September 15th. They will be selling a limited run that feature hand screen printed artwork. Don’t miss out.
Hopefully this record will feature a return to form for Thursday because their last album was severely lacking the creativeness found on their earlier releases. Full Collapse is still one of my favorite cds. According to Thursday’s Twitter, they already have a mastered copy of the album.
Why hasn’t there been a leak yet? C’mon internet.
2) After listening to Envy’s 2006 release Insomniac Doze I have no doubt that Envy’s side will rule.
If you haven’t listened to Envy before, their songs combine the best aspects of post-rock and hardcore. Melodies that slowly build, then crest, then peak, then they begin to churn, and finally the climax comes and leaves you satisfied. My only gripe is that I can’t understand Japanese. Maybe that’s for the best though. I’d be upset if bad lyrics ruined their music for me.
