1) Hungry Ghost Records Compilation

This was an unexpected find in our band inbox today. Hungry Ghost Collective just released their first compilation featuring groups such as …Who Calls So Loud, Daniel Striped Tiger, Lion of the North.

Hungry Ghost Collective is a group run record label/art collective based out of Baton Rouge, Louisianna. Billy, who is seemingly the head organizer of the collective, approached my band (Pianos Become the Teeth) with the idea of including one of our tracks on a DIY compilation cd that he was putting together. The catch is that each band is supposed to create their own album artwork and give it away/sell it at their shows. It’s a pretty cool idea. I’m looking forward to seeing some of the other bands artwork.

3)  Lion of the North/Mans 2008 Split

The last 3 minutes of the Mans song absolutely rules.  It reminds me of Antilles a bit.  A solid split that’s definitely worth adding to your collection.  Although I wish they had chosen some better art work.
