Family artists always interest me- parents and children, siblings, grandparents, whatever. No one else in my family was ever overly inclined towards artmaking so it always facinates me when I read about artist family legacies and wonder about the impact it must have on their work. Admittedly I don’t know much about their personal histories or if they had a family full of artists, but Andy and Ben Kehoe, twin brothers, seem to be doing it up right either way.

After lurking either Andy or Ben Kehoe on the internet for 5 minutes or so, you’ll undoubtably arrive at the conclusion that you’d like to force either one of them to be your friend. Seeing their work side by side, it’s so interesting to see the influences and departures from eachother.  Andy recently posted the above print on his Etsy store and i’m seriously itching to purchase one myself. Last month he had an impressive solo show at the Jonathan Levine gallery which hosted what seems to be his strongest work yet.

For lurking Andy Kehoe yourself, you can find his website HERE, his blog HERE,  his flickr account HERE, and if you’re feeling like being particularly creepy today… you can find his myspace HERE. yeah, i know. but it is pretty funny.
