+ Justin says inflammatory things about Invisible Children
Justin started a debate about Invisible Children that’s pretty interesting (the comments are where the good stuff happens). I’m just beginning my read through his follow up post – just thought I would copy and paste something inflamatory.
“Just because some kids, celebrities, politicians, or what have you, may be diving head-first into IC, it doesn’t mean that the movement itself is flawed. However, if I were anyone directly involved with IC, I would put a lot more focus on encouraging the public to do what they do for the right reasons. I am almost afraid that many of them simply do not care, and deem it 100% irrelevant, the intentions and motives of any given IC activist. That is downright frightening to me. Yes, the building may be standing, but does the nature of the architecture have any meaning? I would not want to wear a beautifully-designed shirt created by an extreme racist, nor would I want to listen to the beautiful sounds of a band who rapes under-aged girls on tour.“
Good follow up post though. It explains his intentions a bit more clearly and it’s cool to read that someone from IC contacted him directly.
