I went to the Awesome Times House on monday night expecting to tape Army of Kashyyyk but apparently their lead singer couldn’t make it so Pansori, a band that shares 2 members with AoK, played in their place.

Pansori sounds like a musical mixture of Funeral Diner, early Thursday, and City of Caterpillar. I was standing behind a PA monitor so I couldn’t really hear the vocals, but I was told that they are high-pitched yells in the vein of bands like Loma Prieta and Saetia. This particular song, named eighthundredyearsofsilence, is close to twenty minutes long. I broke it up into 2 parts and cut out almost a minute of single guitar feedback/segway into the second video. During their live show the song flowed seamlessly. Check them out.
