This morning I finished reading Lord of the Flies.  What an incredibly well written book.  I was never forced to read it in high school but I’m glad I took the time to pick it up.  I’m sure most of you know the plot so I won’t bother reiterating here, I just thought it was worth a mention.  If you haven’t read it do so.

2)  There’s something disturbing about seeing a tube of toothpaste dissected and stapled to a piece of wax board.  Erik Boker‘s work explores the roles of “art, nature, the consumer, the institution, product, fabrication, reality, taxonomy, and our relationships with seemingly insignificant objects and materials that affect us daily.”
